Good hands-on experience in:

1. HTML5
2. CSS3
3. JQUERY
4. Experience with 3rd party libraries for DOM manipulation (jQuery is preferred)
5. Experience with AJAX / JSON
6. Optimization: Understands how to fine-tune and measure performance; detect race conditions; debug paint issues
7. Experience with the promise interface
8. Experience with preprocessors (LESS and/or SASS)
9. Understands how to write efficient selectors
10. Understands CSS rule specificity
11. Understands best practices for organizing rules
12. Exposure to web-based mobile UI development
13. Security (XSS, CSRF prevention)
14. Experience with optimizing pages for performance
15. Writing/understanding semantic markup
16. Experience with HTML5 new features
17. Experience with rapid-development workflow technologies (ie: Grunt)
18. Experience with version control (SVN, Git preferred)
19. Accessibility: Understands ARIA tags and familiar with WCAG 2.0
20. Work in an onsite/offshore model
