Responsibilities:
Partner closely with other teams and peers to solve complex user problems.
Help refine the existing requirements into stories and deliveries that meet the goals of the engagement with the collaboration of the product owners and users.
Conduct user research and testing methods to help define and refine the new product while aiming towards an MVP.
Help generate feature flows, site maps, flow diagrams, and other UX deliverables.
Create artifacts, prototypes, and specs that enable developers to implement features efficiently. i.e., redlining, design language systems, documentation, visual QA, etc.
Interpret & align with key stakeholders on the Design System currently in use and identify areas of improvement & accessibility opportunities.
Present your designs to senior management for feedback and approval in the form of low & high fidelity screens within rapid/visual prototypes.
Provide patterns, best practices, and guidance on interaction/visual design for different devices
Gauge the usability, trustworthiness, and delightfulness for each experience
Mandatory Skills Description:
Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, etc.) or equivalent practical experience. (7-10yrs recommended)
Must have experience with design systems that work across a product as both a visual kit and developed code. i.e., documentation, governance, implementation, etc.
Must have a portfolio showing related experience designing web and/or mobile applications/products.
Must have a portfolio showing data visualization design samples; specifically, dataviz platforms and dashboards. (ex. PowerBI, Tableau, customized platforms, etc)
Must be able to work for an internal government-entity; a background check is required.
Mastery/High Proficiency in Figma (Prototyping is required for this role).
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
Experience in designing usable, web-based interfaces for complex internal systems.
Experience conducting user research & testing
Understanding of design systems from a development POV
Experience working in Capital Markets, especially back-office systems
Design & Strategy focused workshopping experience (ex: Crazy 8's, requirement gathering sessions, ideation, etc)
