Video Content Creator (CONTRACT) Job at Elsewhere in San Francisco
Elsewhere, San Francisco, CA, United States, 94199
Elsewhere is hiring a Video Content Creator to help us tell the story about our game and our studio. We’re working on a co-op multiplayer game that captures the aesthetic and soul of indie games, the replayability and depth of roguelikes, and the ambition to become a forever game that reaches millions of players.
You’ll help us create short and long-form content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, and more. You’ll have creative freedom to scheme up eye-catching, funny, informative, and perhaps occasionally unhinged ways to tell gamers about who we are and what we’re doing.
Note that our team works in-person out of a beautiful converted industrial space in the Mission District here in San Francisco, CA.
This position is for an ongoing contract, ranging from 20-40 hrs/week depending on business needs.
Your Profile
- You have deep understanding of social media. You’ve grown an account (perhaps your own or a brand’s) to an impressive number of followers and engagement on at least one major social media platform.
- You can get your hands dirty with and have expert-level knowledge of video and audio editing software (ex. Adobe Premiere Pro).
- You’re analytical when it comes to the performance of your content, and are honest with yourself and your team when something just isn’t working.
- You have video content production equipment yourself, or are opinionated enough to advise us on what to buy.
- You’re scrappy and clever about stretching a dollar. You can get very far with a small marketing budget.
- You’re creative. You bring a founder’s mindset to marketing. That means you’re excited about experimenting novel ways a game studio can reach and engage fans.
- You love games and the culture surrounding them. You’ve played more games than you can count and have strong opinions on who the best creators are online.
- You’re ambitious. You want to be an early part of something big. Something with massive potential that players are going to absolutely love. You want to work with a game studio that pushes the envelope of games as a medium.
- You’re collaborative. You’re excited to work closely with our founder, game artists, game engineers, our community, and more.
