The Opportunity
The On Call Videographer will report to the Senior Videographer and production staff on all aspects of content production. Responsibilities include coordination, set-up and operation of camera, lighting, audio and grip equipment. The Videographer also acts as Senior Videographer in backfill situations and/or 2nd camera. The Videographer can also be called on to shoot and edit video on current non-linear edit platforms or digital asset management system.

Your Impact
- You will support in direct lighting, measure lighting intensity and exposure of camera Iris.
- You will collaborate with the Senior Videographer to evaluate aesthetic and technical elements. Identify best location for product on the set.
- You will help determine shot composition.
- You will build and operate a variety of cameras and audio equipment and evaluate picture and sound quality. Operate boom and related audio equipment. Ensure proper audio levels and quality.
- You will ensure the safety of production staff on all production shoots, according to established safety practices for all equipment. Ensure that studios and locations are maintained for day-to-day operations and are organized and free of safety hazards.
- Participate in pre-production meetings to ensure all details for the production are clear, and all required equipment and materials are available and ready for the shoot. Consult with Senior Videographer and creative production staff as needed to determine any specialized equipment needed based on subject matter, script, location, audio needs, lighting, budget and talent.
- Maintain all production gear in proper working order, ensure proper storage and notify manager and engineering staff of malfunctioning gear for repair or replacement through Zeus asset tracking software.
- Assist in the pulling set pieces, props and furniture for shoot. Assist in building sets. Place product and props on set.
- Execute all duties and responsibilities for HSN's live broadcast, remote Productions and social media platforms as needed.
- Ingest media into digital asset management system. Log appropriate metadata.
- Conduct oneself in accordance with the HSN Guiding Principles, and act as an HSN ambassador at all times on company related functions and trips.
- B.S or B.A. in Television, Video or Film Production, Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, Art or related field, or completion of equivalent trade-specific video production and lighting certification.
- 1-year hands-on experience with EFP HD video and studio cameras, frequency- agile wireless and related audio equipment and professional lighting and grip equipment.
- Working knowledge of studio operations and video production.
- Working knowledge of HD media/file types and their interoperability.
- Working knowledge of specialized production equipment such as dollies, jib- booms and Steadicam.
- Computer knowledge.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere or similar non-linear edit platforms, After Effects or similar compositing programs.
