Description of Job Duties
1. Work with representatives from various College departments on project management, strategic institutional communication, and creative services initiatives, establishing project timelines and managing projects from initiation to completion.
2. Manage a project list and ensure that materials are delivered according to scope and timeline and are on brand.
3. In collaboration with the director of creative services, maintain a project management system to track deliverables and project information.
4. Collaborate on projects with writers, graphic designer, communications team, web team and social media strategist to execute marketing strategy.
5. Support overall institutional communications efforts with writing, editing, content creation and proofreading skills.
6. Manage print production and timelines with outside vendors to ensure projects are of high quality and delivered on time.
7. Assist with management of photography and videography shoots and help manage the College's photo library and archive system.
8. Other related project management activities that support the Office of Institutional Communication.
Students working in this position will have the opportunity to take a leadership role in real-world professional projects within the Office of Institutional Communication. Previous GAs have assisted with developing and executing communication and creative services strategies in support of a variety of institutional promotional and communication initiatives. Examples include Fine and Performing Arts, athletic and academic departments, and alumni and development. The scope of work has included writing, art directing for video and photography shoots, project management, website content management, and content creation for multiple channels.
In addition, professional mentorship is built into our GA opportunities. Stu-dents are encouraged to propose projects that combine their classroom experience with work that supports the goals of the Office of Institutional Communication.

Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in marketing, business, psychology, English, media studies, communication, or other similar disciplines. Admission into a graduate degree program at North Central College is required. Graduate programs that best compliment this assistantship are Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership or Professional and Creative Writing.
