Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to ensure clear, consistent messaging across all channels, including social media, press releases, newsletters, and internal communications.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align communication efforts with organizational goals and priorities, ensuring that all communications reflect Athens Services' mission, values, and objectives.
- Establish and maintain crisis communication protocols to respond to potential issues that could impact Athens Services' brand reputation.
- Provide timely, effective responses during crises, coordinating with leadership to ensure accurate information is distributed across internal and external channels, preserving trust and transparency.
- Facilitate the flow of information across departments, keeping Athens Services' team members engaged and updated on critical company developments and initiatives.
- Develop and execute strategic public relations campaigns to increase Athens Services' visibility and reinforce its reputation across regional and national media.
- Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, cultivating strong relationships with key media contacts, and identifying opportunities for positive press coverage.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and official statements to support company announcements, community events, partnerships, and major initiatives, positioning Athens Services as an industry leader.
- Lead the development and coordination of newsletters, press releases, internal memos, and other communication materials, ensuring alignment with Athens Services' brand standards.
- Oversee content creation for various platforms to ensure a consistent and cohesive brand message that resonates with Athens' diverse audiences, from employees and partners to customers and community stakeholders.
- Work with regional teams to guarantee that local communications align with company-wide messaging, maintaining a unified voice and reinforcing brand identity across all regions and communications.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to integrate key messages into ongoing campaigns and ensure all departments are informed and aligned with current communication strategies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated expertise in crisis management, media relations, and content creation.
- Strong writing and editing skills with an ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage high-pressure situations and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in media relations and experienced in developing comprehensive communication strategies.
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000/year
