The Marketing Content Specialist is responsible for writing and editing the organizations marketing content including, but not limited to paid and press releases, executive bios, ads, emails, blogs, ancillary product materials and social media posts that align with the companys overall goals and initiatives. As the Marketing Specialist, you will assist with strategy, research, content curation and scheduling of social media posts across a number of platforms including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
The Marketing Content Specialist will:
Complete writing projects, meet deadlines and follow content requirements in terms of brand style and project specifications
Draft press releases utilizing AP Style, executive biographies, award submissions and any other PR communication materials needed
Write copy for emails and paid/organic social media ads using branded tone of voice
Monitor and reply to inquiries received through social media channels and review channels (reviews, comments, likes, mentions, etc.)
Engage with key audiences to build and nurture online communities and increase brand presence
Respond to all social media inquiries within the hour it has been received to establish an expeditious presence and deftly handle sensitive community interactions
Collaborate with external vendors to ensure content flows properly according to brand accuracy
Edit content to ensure voice, grammar and style are accurate and follows Pennymacs marketing style guide
Work cross functionally with internal partners to understand business objectives in order to communicate effectively with customers
Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content and lead generation.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned

PAY RATE: $26/hour

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
3+ years of related experience in copywriting and editing, social media marketing, community management and PR agency experience is a plus
Passionate about marketing in the digital world
Excellent communication, presentation, writing and editing skills, along with a clear understanding of AP Style
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
