Founded in 1855 during California's Gold Rush, Sonora Elementary School has always been at the heart of our community. Our current campus was built in 1974 and neighbors the Tuolumne County Library. Sonora is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills within driving distance of Yosemite National Park. Tuolumne County is rich in local history and there are events throughout the year that highlight our history and culture. There are year-round outdoor recreation activities such as camping, whitewater rafting, hiking, fishing, boating, skiing, and ice skating. Job Summary

Music/Band Teacher

Under the supervision of the school principal, and within the parameters of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), the Teacher plans, implements, and evaluates a complete educational program for students in classroom music and instrumental music grades 4-8.

Requirements / Qualifications
•Valid California Driver's License
•Baccalaureate or higher degree
•Valid California Teaching Credential (Single Subject or Multiple with Supplemental in Music)
•English Learner Authorization - CLAD Certificate
•Current First Aid and CPR Certificates (preferred)
