The Music Business/Management Department within the Professional Education Division at Berklee College of Music is now accepting applications for a part-time faculty position to advance instruction in the areas of business and finance within the department. Instruction to begin immediately (spring 2025).

The Music Business/Management Department within the Professional Education Division at Berklee College of Music is now accepting applications for a part-time faculty position to advance instruction in the areas of business and finance within the department. Instruction to begin immediately (spring 2025).
Responsibilities:
- Teach a minimum of two sections of Business Finance, with the ability to teach other business-related courses as needed, including Principles of Accounting, Business Development and Taxation in the Music Industry
- Maintain and cultivate professional relationships/network within the business and finance industries
- Work with the department in its ongoing review, revision, and development of the Music Business/Management program and curriculum
- Hold office hours and advise students in their academic progress as required
- Participate in department meetings and other department-sponsored events as needed
- Advance the student experience and the work of the Department, the Division, and the College
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required; advanced degree in a business or finance field required
- Teaching experience required; college or university teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated record of professional experience in the business, finance or tax industry required, with additional experience in the music industry preferred
- Strong relationships in the business and/or finance sector
- Demonstrated knowledge of general business and finance, with additional expertise in accounting and taxation preferred
- Strong command of technology to support and advance the work
- Excellent verbal and written and communication skills
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access
- Student-centric perspective with a strong commitment to creativity and implementation
