Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board! **Why you'll love this job** + This job is a member of the Radio Communications Team within the Integrated Operations Division. + Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities for multiple projects in the fast paced Integrated Operations Center environment. **What you'll do** + ?Supports communication infrastructure for the enterprise's voice and telephony, UHF radio, VHF radio, Avtec consoles, VOIP Systems, conference, and other communications systems at all American Airlines domestic and international stations + Responds to system trouble tickets, solve, and identify the root cause + Develops the strategy for defining, deploying, and maintaining Avtec (VOIP Dispatch System) architecture and user interface design + Coordinates with management to design, engineer, and deploys reliable Avtec updates and configuration changes to support the needs of the operation to include desk moves, screen designs, and contact creation and mapping + Manages system configurations, systems access, and analyzes and recommends enhancements to improve system operations + Manages communication on support issues, creates system reference guides, training materials, and system and process diagrams + Supports communication and response process by responding to users on system issues, maintenance and system status, and advising and escalating on any prolonged or major issues + Assists with future technology projects to ensure AA continues to be an industry leader in all communication technology changes and airline operations. + Researches and familiarizes with company and Federal regulations to ensure system compliance + Assumes technical a role in problem resolution and root cause analysis, and provides actionable after-incident analysis to ensure root cause issues are logged and remediated. + Up to 35% travel and 24/7 support required (On Call) **All you'll need for success** **Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training + 3 years of experience as a systems or infrastructure engineer or administrator or communications engineer **Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + 5+ years of experience as a systems or infrastructure engineer or administrator or communications engineer systems or infrastructure engineer or administrator + Airline industry experience + IT Network Experience a must + Radio Communications Experience (Motorola, Jotron, Others) for both UHF- VHF systems and their integrations from Code Building, engineering solutions, to implementing infrastructure) + VOIP Communications experience (Dispatch, telephony, Console Systems such as Avtec) **Skills, Licenses & Certifications** + ?Ability to plan strategically for current and future business environments, including future technology and business design changes to create flexible, scalable solutions + Knowledge of IT business operations, systems requirements, and processes + Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) + Provides on-going support for existing systems + 3+ year experience Radio VOIP systems skills and certifications + Windows Operating Systems/ Server Operating Systems + Experience with VoIP networking and technical proficiency in LAN/WAN architectures + Experience with current best practices in IT standards, principles, and security practices **What you'll get** Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: + Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
