Position Overview: We seek a results-driven and highly skilled Manager, SEM (Paid Search), to lead our paid search campaigns and strategy. In this role, you will oversee the development, execution, and optimization of our SEM campaigns across various platforms, including Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. Your goal will be to grow e-commerce sales while maximizing ROI through innovative and data-driven SEM strategies.

Pay Rate: $140,000 $150,000/yr depending on background and experience.
This position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive SEM strategies aligned with company goals, targeting key audience segments to drive high-quality traffic and sales.
- Campaign Management: Develop, manage, and optimize paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. Monitor and adjust messaging, keywords, bid strategies, budgets, and targeting to achieve performance goals.
- Performance Analysis: Constantly analyzes campaign and site performance to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Keyword Research: Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify new opportunities and refine existing keyword strategies. Utilize tools such as Google Keyword Planner and SEMrush to support research efforts.
- Targeting: Identifies opportunities to improve performance by leveraging CRM data and advanced audience segmentation techniques.
- A/B Testing: Design and execute A/B tests for ad copy, landing pages, and other campaign elements to optimize performance and identify incrementality opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the e-commerce and creative team to develop compelling messaging and new performance-driven landing pages that align with campaign objectives and drive sales.
- Budget Management: Oversee budget allocation and expenditure for SEM campaigns, ensuring optimal resource use and cost efficiency.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular performance reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, trends, and actionable insights.
- Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and changes in SEM platforms to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge and effective.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification (e.g., Google Ads Certification) is a plus.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) managing Search and PMax campaigns with a track record of delivering measurable results.
- Strong knowledge of SEM platforms and tools, including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and other relevant tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in performance analysis, campaign optimization, keyword research, and testing.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing budgets greater than $500K a month and allocating resources effectively.
- Identifies opportunities to improve performance by leveraging CRM data and advanced audience segmentation techniques.
- Collaborative team player able to effectively build consensus around program vision and drive initiatives to completion through partnership with diverse constituents.
