Location: The ideal candidate should reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area as the role will be based out of Arlington, TX.

About the Position

Based out of Arlington, TX, the Manager of Communications will aid in leading the day-to-day communications operations for the Arlington Renegades, and will work alongside the Director of Team Communications and Media Relations for the UFL. The Manager will create media relations strategies on the local and national levels, building the Renegades brand nationwide. The Manager will proactively cultivate relationships with media and influencers and assist in opportunities to increase the team's visibility. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Team and Business Operations and the Director of Team Communications and Media Relations for the UFL.

What you will do: Foster positive and proactive relationships with the media as a point of contact on behalf of the Renegades and actively pitch media story ideas and interview opportunities to local and national media. Work with the Director of Communications and Media Relations to help leverage Renegades players, coaches and front office staff, develop and execute fan engagement programs and community service projects; to develop storytelling opportunities Manage and execute interviews for players, coaches and staff at training camp, media days, gamedays, and other events throughout the year Monitor daily media coverage in print, radio, television and social media outlets, and keep the Director of Communications and Media Relations informed on a timely basis Prepare daily clips on a team level Prepare daily game notes, press releases and other announcements Attend daily practices and run point on media availability for the team Oversee all game day media operations for all home games Assistant Director of Communications on Crisis Communications issues. What you will bring:

2-3 years of experience in communications and public relations, with specific experience in the sports, media and/or entertainment industries Bachelor's degree is required Experience in media game day activities, including press box operations. Strong knowledge of sports, entertainment, and media landscape. Solid relationships with relevant local media contacts. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent project management skills, while exercising flexibility and ability to adapt in fast-paced work environment A self-starter with enthusiasm and determination to ensure consistent achievement of deliverables, timelines, and objectives across multiple stakeholders. Additional Details

The role will be located in Arlington, TX. The role is hybrid,works in a remote office and/or an office environment and will be expected to attend all team games and events. This position requires the employee to remain standing in an upright position for extended periods of time as part of the job responsibilities. This position involves walking significant distances within the facilities throughout the workday. The position may involve extended periods of sitting as part of the job duties. The role requires the ability to lift and carry objects on a regular basis including: Light Lifting: The employee may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds regularly.

Regular domestic travel to UFL team markets will be required during the season.Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.
