The school occupies a central position at the nexus of Boston’s private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Our learners enjoy close access to the city’s financial and innovation clusters, seats of government, nonprofit organizations, and world-class healthcare institutions. We define and differentiate our educational approach through integrated expertise, immersive learning, and business with purpose. The Sawyer Business School is accredited by AACSB, NECHE, CAHME and NASPAA, offering degree programs including BSBA, MS, MBA, Executive MBA, MHA and MPA. The Department of Marketing is a dynamic hub of academic excellence and innovation, comprising 19 full-time faculty members who serve over 400 undergraduate marketing majors and an active Master of Science in Marketing program. The department has a vibrant research culture, with faculty earning internal and external grants, presenting at leading conferences, and publishing in high-quality publications, including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Retailing. It also fosters a rigorous and collaborative learning environment, featuring a state-of-the-art neuroscience consumer research lab with an active subject pool as well as a student-run advertising agency, providing hands-on experience and stimulating creativity among students as they apply their knowledge to tackle real-world challenges. We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in both research and teaching, as well as engagement with students, colleagues, and business or professional communities. Position Overview: This faculty position involves responsibilities in research, teaching, and service. The teaching load is five courses (or 2-3) per academic year, with a one-course reduction during the first year and fewer preps for junior faculty. Faculty are expected to engage in student advising and mentoring, maintain a strong research and publication pipeline, and actively participate in the life of the department, college, and university through committee work and other service roles. We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications: Required qualifications: A Ph.D. or DBA in marketing related areas from an AACSB-accredited institution or equivalent (by June 30, 2025). Experience and/or interest in teaching AI in marketing, Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior, or Capstone Consultancy courses in both our undergraduate and MSM (Master of Science in Marketing) programs. Demonstrated research interest in the AI-marketing strategies or consumer wellbeing areas. Proficiency in using AI tools. An interest and capability in developing relationships with local and/or global organizations is a plus. Strong potential for teaching excellence and impactful research.
