ALEC Credit Union is hiring: Video Teller in Gurnee

SUMMARY: Completes Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) transactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs via Interactive Teller video system Universal MSR functions including accepting share deposits and loan payments, disbursing cash from accounts or check presentment within designated limit with accuracy, and escalates to others when applicable. 
• Transfers amounts from member’s accounts as directed
• Works independently and utilizes effective problem solving skills to resolve issues; effectively uses position authority and knowledge of operating and security procedures in order to make on-the-spot decisions including exceptions, adjustments, and overrides
• Researches and solves member issues and completes follow up work, referring situations to appropriate branch staff or department when necessary
• Multitasks by working with multiple software programs concurrently to complete a transaction, while communicating with a member.
• Clearly communicates the proper use of drive-thru and interactive kiosk, handling member’s objections and anxiety to new technology. Promotes benefits of the technology and ensures a positive experience
• Develops relationships with members in order to identify sales opportunities and actively cross sell credit union products and services.
• Maintains knowledge of all credit union products and services, promotions, policies and procedures
• Follows policies and procedures set forth by credit union
• Demonstrates solid understanding of fraud and other risks associated with ITM transactions
• Complies with all Federal and State banking laws and related regulations
• Reports suspicious activity through proper channels
• Other duties as may be assigned

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

• Assists Call Center with completing daily reports, tickets from LSI, responds to member emails, and serves as backup for taking calls when necessary, including daily overflow and covering absences
• Fulfills Receptionist duties, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Education Preferred: Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field
• Experience Required: One (1) year of customer service or sales experience
• Experience Preferred: Two (2) years of experience within a financial institution in a similar ITM/video position
