Job Description: Primary Responsibilities: Ability to enterprise photo and video opportunities daily and schedule and coordinate shoots to complete assignments, assisting in managing all equipment, technology and studio space. Deliver, distribute, and post digital assets as required, including enhancing and retouching the quality of digital images to prepare them for publication through the latest technologies available including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, Lightroom or other related software/technology Collaborate with art directors, designers, writers, photographers and videographers to create the highest quality photos and videos that tell a story and express the University's brand Archive, maintain, and expand the images in a digital asset management system to make them easily retrievable and searchable by category, key word search, etc. Brainstorm, plan and coordinate with OCM to identify project objectives and appropriate people and locations for photos/videos assigned Other reasonable duties as assigned Functional and Supervisory Relationships: Reports to Director of Digital Media Job Requirements: Be able to conduct shoots in the field or studio with both single and multi-camera setups Edit in Final Cut X, Adobe Premiere, or similar software Conduct location scouting, casting and scheduling of shoots Working knowledge of video editing software including Final Cut X, Adobe Premiere, or similar software as well as photo editing software including Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, Camera Raw, or Lightroom Ability to translate complex or conceptual ideas/concepts (e.g. research or news stories) into engaging photos Ability to work with natural and/or flash lighting to produce high-quality images that require minimal editing, particularly at on-location events with short deadlines for posting Knowledge of digital media applications that integrate still photography Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent interpersonal communication skills Applicants must address in their application their ability to work with a culturally diverse population Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization. At least 2 years of demonstrated professional photography experience in both natural and studio lighting, including portraits of people, environmental portraits, images of objects, on-location news coverage, crowd shots, etc. 2-4 years' experience working with professional cameras, lighting, sound, and flash to produce high quality photos and videos Must have valid driver's license and personal vehicle with which to travel to coverage assignments Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging relative to their role Preferred Qualifications: Experience creating smart, engaging digital content (including video) for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and other social media outlets Experience shooting and editing hybrid projects (photo & video) Experience covering live events Working Environment: Typical office environment Locations on and off campus for photo/video shoots Additional Information: Professional Rank and Salary Range: SL-2, $55,151 Special Notes: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
