We are a luxury floral and event design studio with one studio location and 3 retail locations. We are located on 5862 Bolsa Avenue Suite 104. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and hard-working.

Floral Designer Job Description

Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and preparing flower arrangements as assigned by the Lead Designer.
  • Meeting with clients and designing weddings and events under the supervision of the Lead Designer
  • Provide specialized design and floral expertise to plan, design and create floral arrangements for events
  • Constructing personal flowers such as hand-held bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres etc.
  • Follow design specifications to create decor for various events
  • Participate in the receiving and processing of floral product.
  • Assist with wedding decor setup
  • Gather, count, and divide product according to floral recipes/event/order
  • Sort, organize, clean and restock supplies
  • Pulling and restocking floral, related decor, loading/unloading, and delivery/pick-up
  • Ensure that event facility/venue is left in a clean and orderly condition
  • Assist with loading/unloading of vehicles and operate vans, trucks and lifts
  • Properly pack and handle inventory to protect against damage and deterioration
  • Ensure that designs meet corporate and client expectations are within budget and deadlines are met
  • Cultivate a creative and collaborative environment to inspire design and build cohesive teams within the department, division and properties
  • Adhere to safety procedures and recommend programs to improve production and safety
  • Complete all required paperwork, monitor for accuracy and consistency
  • Stay current in design trends, floral techniques and vendor products
  • Perform other job-related duties, as assigned

Preferred Experience:

  • At least one year of event experience.
  • At least one year of floral designing experience.
  • Knowledge of fresh floral product and design technique, floral processing, product, design and mechanics
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time as well as lift up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive passenger and cargo vans/trucks
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts and clients
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, be willing to adhere to company dress code
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Basic working knowledge of computers
  • Ability to help with loading and unloading floral trucks.

Schedule

Part-time or Full-time/Flex schedule

Normal hours are Monday – Friday  8:00 am – 5 pm (hours do vary by event schedule, must be flexible and available for ALL weekend events.)
