Job Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
Executive Editor would serve to manage Wings of Fire, a key frontlist brand, as well as work to develop and facilitate IP projects generated and edited by the fiction group.
RESPONSIBILITIES Brand management of Wings of Fire Management of author and agent relationship for Wings of Fire Assume the key leadership role in the editorial development of Wings of Fire, including new core novels, graphic novels, and spinoff projects Liaise with marketing, publicity and sales departments regarding Wings of Fire Aid in the development of IP projects, chiefly supporting junior staff by helping navigate the process of finding authors and connecting the steps between idea development to project acquisition. Significant depth of industry knowledge is required for this position, both internal and external. This execultive editor must know how books are developed, packaged, marketed and sold in to accounts. She or he must also have broad industry contacts and familiarity with the author and agent community.

15+ years in the children's publishing industry
