The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Experience in product design or UX. Experience implementing visual design systems across platforms in an iterative software development environment, applying design tools (e.g., Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch). Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions). Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 1 year of experience leading design projects. Experience in 3D Modeling and 3D Visualization. Experience in Data Visualization. Experience with prototyping. As a Visual Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution. You will modernize Google Maps and own visual design, crafting the features within the Maps cartographic experience across canvas design and cartography to the maps design system. You will deliver user-centered design leveraging user insights and data to inform design decisions, ensuring accessibility and an intuitive user journey. Key Responsibilities:

Evolve the notion of framework by collaborating with other leads to form a cohesive offering across Google products. Work across programs to define, maintain, and evolve the tools, processes, and communication around asset management. Leverage principal contributors to explore concept development to influence product, a point-of-view around visual style, and product commitments. Advocate for Google products and their unique value proposition within an integrated Google ecosystem. Partner with visual programs within our organization to evolve and apply new design styles and aesthetics for our suite of products.
