FOX News is looking for a creative, organized, motivated, curious individual with strong editorial and logistical skills to fill an Associate Producer position in our Washington D.C Bureau. The Associate Producer will be responsible for working with reporters to gather video/audio elements, obtain information, and deliver compelling live shots. You must be able to gather the latest supporting elements for the story and move content forward. A natural curiosity of news is a must. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Find key elements that drive stories forward, log/transcribe events, and track news developments Be well-read and up-to-date on Washington-based and political stories, ensuring you’re always ahead of the curve Assist reporters in setting up studio and Zoom interviews, asking critical questions, and gathering the information needed to craft and produce impactful live shots Monitor wires, social media, and other broadcast networks to identify and flag breaking developments as they happen Work closely with our D.C. and New York-based shows to ensure Fox provides editorially and visually compelling live shots that captivate viewers Develop and pitch ideas for D.C. bureau coverage that inform, educate, and inspire Fox’s audience WHAT YOU WILL NEED Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience 2 years of television news experience Experience producing reporter live shots Strong logistical and editorial skills Knowledge of national and international news Familiarity with the various D.C. government agencies Keen understanding of how to set up interviews and gather news A self-starter who can work independently, as well as a team player Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize daily, especially in breaking news situations Familiarity with iNews, Outlook and Dalet systems is a plus Strong communications skills Must be flexible with your schedule and willing to work both weekdays, weekends, and unconventional hours We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $61,000.00-70,000.00 annually for Washington, D.C. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
