BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager for an opportunity in Redmond, WA

Position Title: Marketing Manager

Location: Fully Remote

Anticipated Start Date: - ASAP

Expected Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Type: Contract and Remote

Pay Range: $70/hr. - $75/hr.

Requirements:

Typical Day in the Role:

* Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to support all games and content from third-party publishers in the Xbox ecosystem

* Key projects: This role will contribute to developing monetization strategies and creating reports to drive monetization across the ecosystem

* Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm:

? Understanding and analyzing revenue and player engagement trends to create strategies (20%)

? Developing reports to drive specific look forward programs (20%)

? Data mining outside of Microsoft for gaming ecosystem insights (15%)

? Developing strategies to measure success (25%)

? Creating trend analysis (20%)

Candidate Requirements:

* Years of Experience Required: 6-10 years' experience with consumer entertainment /games marketing, sales, retail.

* Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field. Or equivalent experience.

* Disqualifiers: Candidates without experience in entertainment marketing (entertainment marketing can cover any marketing that covers discretionary consumer spending)

* Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain gaming industry experience and experience working in a big corporation

* Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work and how they fit in with the team

2. Minimum 10 years' experience with negotiation/communication

Summary:

The main function of the Marketing Manager Game Promotional Programs is to help drive and fundamentally support the creation of marketing programs and promotions that increase overall visibility of the game catalog. Working with the Senior Global Marketing manager this role will help define promotional strategy through knowledge of the product, the audience, and the ecosystem and help to execute this strategy across all marketing channels and Xbox endpoints.

This role is meant to significantly enhance the team's ability to deliver programs at the highest level with the best content and the greatest visibility to meet consumer engagement and revenue goals of the 3pp Games Xbox Marketing Team.

Key responsibilities include:

Investigate assumptions and explore new opportunities - Help to determine high impact programs but also to challenge the effectiveness of established programs with observations on revenue and engagement. Bring ideas to the table for exciting new programs or tweaks to enhance existing programs. Act as sounding board for the Marketing Lead to challenge assumptions and keep programs fresh.

Optimize programs for revenue, engagement, and retention - Support Marketing Lead in using feedback and data to create the best programs for consumers. Work with 3PP Games Xbox Marketing Team to deliver assets to store and Marcom teams in a timely manner to create the strongest programs. Facilitate efficient processes where feasible. Establish strong mutually beneficial relationships with internal partner teams and external creative vendors. Using reports on Key Performance Indicators help the Marketing Lead determine whether program goals were achieved and determine pivot points to improve programs as needed.

Additional Opportunities - Present programs to internal stakeholders, work with Marketing lead on GTM plans, oversee regular check-ins with internal partner groups on sharing initiatives and program effectiveness, help drive follow-up/postmortem analysis as needed. Own the scheduling and agenda of various meetings and tactics, potential ownership of some promotions

Qualifications:

* Ability to create marketing strategies that increase competitive advantage

* Strong organizing and project management skills to handle diverse projects simultaneously, and track assets and overall progress and enable partner teams to meet deadlines.

* Ability to work with internal partner teams and align priorities including Marcom, Store, 3rd Party Marketing, Game Pass

* Emphasis on learning the ecosystem and the players to enable quick and efficient problem solving

* Ability to work across PC and console gaming ecosystems, develop strong affinity for consumer wants and needs and understand how to meet same.

* A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their knowledge level

* Ability to be agile in thinking and execution
