Our in-house team of architects, designers, engineers, technicians and administrative professionals are on your side. We listen to our clients, analyze all the options, share what we know and then develop creative solutions that work for each project.
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading, managing and overseeing all activities on assigned projects. The PM is the representative of the project in the office, acting as the primary advocate and point of contact for the client. The PM is responsible for overall project performance including quality, budget, and schedule. This position leads their team of engineering staff to ensure the facilitation of a project’s completion on-time, on/under-budget, and meeting our quality standards. The PM is responsible for directing and overseeing the implementation of improved discipline production tools, standards, and processes. The PM communicates with and coordinates production processes and personnel skill development with the Director of Civil Engineering.
During a project lifecycle, the PM shepherds an engineering project through the project production phases including Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
The PM communicates with the civil production staff through a project’s Programming and Schematic Design phases coordinating the design vision and intent with their project team.
In addition, they work with the other A&E Project Managers to ensure our engineering production work under their supervision aligns with the expectations of the client.

Team Responsibilities:
Oversees a team of engineers and technicians producing multiple projects. Schedules the work and individuals within their project team assignments. Responsible for productivity / billable time of staff under their supervision. Involved in high level production assisting all staff within their team. Complete project responsibility related to the preparation and development of contract documents. Executes and coordinates projects of all sizes and complexities. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the team and firm. Coordinates with the Director to implement and improve standards, procedures, or processes related to production.
Project Manager Responsibilities
Routinely communicates with the Director and Market Sector Principals regarding project status. Develop the Project Strategic Plans with input from the Director and Market Sector Principals. Prepare and negotiate scopes of work and fee proposals with outside consultants with Director’s oversight. Develop the production budget and schedule in collaboration with the Director and Market Sector Principals. Organize and conduct meetings. Responsible for project profitability, budget and schedule performance, and quality requirements. Oversee and provide input on project team member work plans to ensure that projects are delivered to meet budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Collaborate with Project Team Leader and Independent Technical Review (ITR) professionals concerning the project quality control plan and its implementation. Coordinate with Directors, other PMs and Market Sector Principal regarding workloads and resource allocation within the market sector.
Marketing and Business Development
Assist in successfully securing new work by seeking out opportunities and strategically plan pursuits. Assist Director and Market Sector Principals in preparing marketing proposal materials and participate in interviews as required. Negotiate the scope of work and fee with the client or support the Director and Market Sector Principals in this effort.
Project Role:
Take a proactive stance on all project related issues, both with the client and the project team, anticipating issues and working to resolve them before they become a problem. Regularly communicate with the Project Team Leader regarding scheduling, task assignments, manpower levels, Quality Control, project specific issues, project deliverables. Provide mentorship and guidance to Team Leader and all other team members as appropriate. Communicate and work closely with individual project team members as required. Distribute timely responses to all client inquiries. Lead and/or support project meetings with the client (in conjunction with the Director or the Principal). Review, edit and distribute the list of issues and action items. Review project specifications and develop the front-end contract documents.
Required Skills:
Site Design experience with some or all Pavement Design, Site Layout, Storm Sewer Design, Sanitary Sewer, Water Line Design, Grading Plans, and
Erosion Control Plans Can be relied upon to present directly to the client, Subconsultants, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, and others as needed on technical and design solutions. Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments. Responsible for researching technical challenges that arrive on team projects, including constructability. Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects. Demonstrates a high degree of time management skill and constantly seeks to streamline processes and procedures to increase quality and efficiency. Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word and Excel. Proficient in product options, performance, selections, and in writing technical Specifications. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
