About This Position
ChristianaCare is searching for a Digital and Creative Services Copywriter to serve as a key contributor to the Digital & Creative Services team within the Department of External Affairs, collaborating to develop, coordinate, write, edit and publish external web, digital, and collateral content.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Writes, edits and produces high-quality content to support the diverse communications needs of external audiences, including web copy, social media content, collateral, signage, advertising and presentations.
- Works at the direction of the Director, Digital & Creative Services and in collaboration with other members of the team to develop creative, high-impact, engaging content that helps to enhance ChristianaCare's reputation, create an exceptional patient experience, advance business goals, and make a positive impact on the health of people in the communities we serve.
- Edits copy and proofreads advertising, marketing, website, and social media content.
- Supports web and social media work processes, editorial calendars and production schedules in collaboration with the Digital & Creative Services teams.
- Participates in social media on-call rotation to manage after-hours and weekend social media requests or urgent communications needs (approximately 8 weeks per year).
- Performs other related duties and projects as required.
Education and experience requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Advertising, Journalism, Communications, English or Public Relations required.
Five years of experience with a demonstrated ability to write and edit compelling, impactful, accurate content required.
Experience in writing and editing advertising, website and social media content required.
Experience in print and online publication, layout and design preferred.
Experience in health, medical and science writing preferred.
Experience in photo editing and working with photographers preferred.
Experience in managing freelance writers or photographers preferred.
