Mechanical Designer
Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating 3D design tools, with a preference for SolidWorks experience. This role involves creating and revising detailed engineering prints, modeling parts and assemblies, and providing technical direction for prototype builds.
Responsibilities:
Operate independently on medium-scale assigned projects.
Fully model and create parts and assemblies in SolidWorks for various projects.
Create and revise fully detailed engineering prints.
Provide technical direction for prototype builds and initial builds as required.
Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) for fabrication.
Create and release projects through the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.
Conform to drafting and department standards and processes.
Lead designers as appropriate on jobs and projects.
Essential Skills:
Proficiency in operating 3D design tools, preferably SolidWorks.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of sheet metal design.
Understanding of engineering drawing guidelines and standards.
Excellent time management skills.
Knowledge of electromechanical switchgear.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Mechanical aptitude.
Experience in mechanical design and 3D modeling.
Work Environment:
The work environment is dynamic and requires the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. You will be working with advanced design software and tools, primarily SolidWorks. The role involves collaborating with other designers and engineers to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00
