Your Role:
Happiest Baby’s Freelance Marketing Videographer/Editor is responsible for creating and editing brand, product, and founder video content for various projects and assignments. This role involves collaborating with leadership to conceptualize and deliver planned video content from storyboarding through filming and final execution (e.g., editing, color correction, sound, text overlay, etc.). The ideal candidate is passionate, adaptable, and skilled in combining technical expertise with creative storytelling to produce exceptional video content across all digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with founders and marketing team members to conceptualize and execute video projects that align with the business vision and goals.
- Plan and execute photo and video shoots, including product, lifestyle, and promotional videos.
- Shoot engaging videos for Web, Socials, Ads, YouTube, etc., utilizing both short and long formats in vertical and horizontal orientations, with the ability to create engaging text overlays.
- Ensure all necessary equipment is properly set up, maintained, and functional before and throughout filming sessions.
- Adapt quickly to changing environmental conditions to achieve optimal video quality and storytelling.
- Serve as both the lead videographer and onsite director, utilizing polished interpersonal skills to support talent and staff.
- Edit and enhance raw footage to produce polished and compelling videos that meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Implement video and sound editing techniques, color correction, and visual effects to enhance the final product.
- Maintain and organize video equipment, ensuring it is in optimal condition for use in demanding environments.
- Manage and organize the digital media library.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A portfolio demonstrating previous work in demanding environments and editing projects.
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling.
- Proven experience as a videographer and editor, preferably with brands or fast-paced environments.
- At least 5 years of video production experience and editing.
- Proficiency in using professional video equipment, cameras, and accessories.
- Strong knowledge of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects).
- Creativity and a keen eye for detail in capturing and editing video content.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances in challenging environments.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be based in Los Angeles.
15-25 Hours Per Week, 3 Month Contract With Possible Extension
