Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Producer to join our team for the production of many Reelshort Mobisode Series with Elastic Heart Studio. As the Producer, you will be responsible for assisting the Head of Studio in overseeing aspects of production from concept development to final delivery. This role requires strong organizational skills, creative vision, a genuine love for romance and romance in media, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
Responsibilities:
Production Management:
- Assists Head of Studio in the management of all aspects of production, from pre-production to post-production, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery.
- Assists Head of Studio with casting, location scouting, and hiring of key crew members.
- Monitor the progress of production, troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments as required.
- Travel to help facilitate productions. This includes being on set for 12+ hours/day, sometimes on weekends.
Creative Direction:
- Work closely with writers, directors, and other creative team members to develop compelling visual concepts for each mobisode. Make sure that the script will be interpreted appropriately to represent the company goal on the screen and to maximize audience engagement across mobile platforms.
- Provide creative feedback and guidance throughout the production process to maintain artistic integrity and alignment with the series' vision.
- Ensure that each episode maintains consistent quality and adheres to brand standards.
- Direct cover and still photoshoots with the production crew while on production set.
- Assists with providing notes for post-production.
- Read and familiarize with all scripts entering the production process. Work with Writers and Head Writer to troubleshoot any questions or potential issues in-script before passing along to the production crew.
Team Leadership:
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment where team members feel motivated and empowered to excel.
- Be responsive to messages over DingTalk during work hours (9:30 am - 5:30 pm PST) and during shoot times.
- Attend weekly team meetings
- Attend weekly meetings with the Head of Studio and other leadership
Quality Assurance:
- Maintain the overall creative vision and quality standards of Elastic Heart Studio projects.
- Review cuts, provide feedback, and work with the post team to achieve the desired final product.
- Ensure the final product adheres to technical specifications and is optimized for various distribution platforms.
- Some duties may include script coordination on set and during the post
Distribution and Promotion:
- Monitor audience feedback and engagement metrics to inform future production decisions and marketing efforts.
Miscellaneous:
- Must be able to sit at a computer and focus for extended periods of time, with breaks as needed
- This role will require flexibility and a willingness to take on new projects on short notice
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Producer in film or television production, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
- Proven experience in the romance genre in film, television, or other media.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Creative vision and the ability to provide constructive feedback to creative team members.
- Knowledge of the film and television industry, including current trends and emerging technologies.
- Master's degree in film, communications, or related field preferred, but not required.
- Minimum 5 years experience required.
