About the role:
Our Americas Public Sector (APS) Marketing team strategizes and develops marketing programs to help prospective customers understand how Gartner's expert guidance and tools enable smarter decisions and stronger performance on an organization's mission critical priorities. The team accelerates sales activity by attracting, engaging, and converting prospects through the delivery of compelling Gartner insights and experiences across the buyer journey.
We're looking for a Public Sector Marketing Manager to join our Global Technology Sales (GTS) Marketing team focused on the Americas Public Sector (APS) region. The ideal candidate would have a background in government focused marketing with experience spanning campaign management, events strategies, and sales enablement to drive lead acquisition and pipeline progression for new business and account expansion. We're looking for a marketing manager with an understanding of government mission priorities combined with a passion for customer-centric marketing, the ability to partner closely with sales, and capacity for developing and innovating programs that resonate with our target audiences.
What you will do:
Build a strong relationship with aligned sales regions and partner with the APS Marketing Director to support firm revenue growth by aligning select marketing disciplines to drive an integrated marketing strategy, planning, execution, and communications.
Design, manage and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns and content marketing programs that resonate with government decision-makers with the objectives of generating sales leads, accelerating sales cycles, and growing the business.
Regularly seek out and synthesize inputs from product, research, and sales teams to inform campaign messaging and strategy. Effectively collaborate with teams across the marketing organization to develop content for marketing campaigns, promote via digital and other channels, and analyze performance.
Develop concise, compelling messages, copy, and content; maintain a consistent message across various channels and formats.
Collaborate across business lines and with colleagues globally to identify, leverage and integrate marketing ideas and activities.
Regularly review marketing performance using metrics and analytics; make recommendations and adapt marketing plans to incorporate best practices.
In partnership with APS Marketing Director, design and execute tests to evaluate tactics and optimize marketing programs.
Independently manage projects from problem identification/conception to completion with periodic guidance from marketing stakeholders.
Lead demand generation marketing activity, cascading and activating the sales organization against key messages, campaigns, and events.
Improve sales teams' ability to authentically engage with audience segments through effective scripting and training materials and sessions.
Deliver on KPIs and metrics set for campaigns and assess campaign success at the campaign and activity levels to inform future campaign tactics.
Track and measure marketing effectiveness across channels and optimize plans to ensure ROI on all activities.
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or similar.
5+ years of relevant marketing experience, prefer large or global company experience ideally in a government-focused environment.
Proven experience developing successful integrated marketing or demand generation programs designed for executive-level audiences in government.
Detail-oriented, with strong follow-through skills.
Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to be flexible and work effectively in collaborative, fast-paced, fast-changing environment.
Experience with a CRM (Salesforce), CMS (Adobe AEM), email management system (Eloqua) and data analytics platform (Power BI, Google Analytics) preferred.
Intermediate/advanced Excel skills, including ease with formulas and pivot tables.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 76,000 USD - 106,260 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
