Overview:
A sleep trainee develops competency in and performs basic sleep testing procedures and associated interventions. The sleep trainee works under direct supervision of a sleep technician or a sleep technologist.
Qualifications:
- Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High-School Diploma or GED are required, plus six months of direct patient care experience orone year of post secondary education.You may be asked to provide proof of education.
- Experience: At least six months of direct patient care experience preferred.
- Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Other: Must understand English both written and spoken, must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions, with our without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law.
- Preferred Education: Current enrollment in an accredited educational program leading to a certificate or associate degree with an emphasis in sleep technology.
