Our client, a comprehensive provider of personal, commercial, and group benefits lines of insurance, is seeking a proficient Commercial Producer. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who excel in generating their own prospects, establishing strong networks, and creating credible, lasting business relationships.

The ideal candidate should either possess a book of business that can be transitioned with them or have a solid business plan detailing existing relationships, centers of influence, and targeted market strategies. With a focus on meeting and exceeding annual revenue quotas, this position is perfect for those who are adept at consulting on business matters and closing their own deals in the commercial insurance sector.


Job Responsibilities
  • Independently generate prospects, establish credibility, build strong relationships, and develop pipelines.
  • Consult on business matters and close own deals.
  • Possess or develop a business plan outlining existing relationships and target markets with a minimum revenue threshold of $10,000.
  • Aim to achieve an annual quota of $100K in revenue, with a minimum threshold of $15,000 in revenue from 1 MM in premium.
  • Manage a balance of 40% new business and 25% renewal commission splits.
  • Process own accords, applications, and participate in new business placement.
  • Work collaboratively with Account Managers for daily servicing of accounts, re-marketing to carriers, and providing administrative support for renewals, while ensuring final signature/bind policies.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial insurance sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate and manage a book of business.
  • Strong networking skills and established centers of influence within the Greater Portland area.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and revenue thresholds.
  • Proficiency in handling accords, applications, and new business placements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
