One River School of Art & Design - Transforming Art Education
$25-$35 Per Hour
Job DescriptionWe are currently recruiting for a Digital Art teachers for Grades 3-12 for weekday afternoons and weekends in our Port Jefferson, NY school location.
Our classes typically start at 3:30pm so it is a great opportunity for public and private school art teachers and current art students in graduate programs to earn extra money doing what they love. We have openings for afternoon/evening and weekend (Saturdays mostly).
Our curriculum is created centrally so there is minimal prep required and all tools, equipment and supplies are provided. Our Digital teachers need to be experts in the Adobe Creative Suite on Mac: Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, After Effects. In addition we need our teacher to be familiar with Blender 3D and Procreate.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience teaching digital art or digital design classes
- BFA or BS Art Education
- Illustrator, Animate, Photoshop, Blender, Procreate.
- Thoughtful communication skills
- A passion for One River School's mission
- Must live within easy commutable distance from work site location
You will teach one or more of a variety of proprietary digital art classes. Our students are in grades 3-12 from beginner to advanced level. Our students are motivated and hardworking. Our class sizes are small and there is no prep needed outside of the classroom. You will deliver the curriculum with enthusiasm and tailor instruction to suit individual students' needs.
