Part Time SEO E-Commerce

We are seeking a part time (50 hours a month) remote SEO Expert in E-Commerce. Pay rate is between $27-30 per hour
We are looking for an experienced mid-level SEO specialist with expertise in e-commerce SEO to drive results for our clients. This individual will manage SEO campaigns, perform in-depth audits and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate will continuously achieve designated objectives of increasing website traffic and revenue in addition to upholding superior customer engagement.
Responsibilities:
Keyword Research & Strategy:
Develop and implement keyword strategies for multiple e – commerce clients, focusing on long-tail keywords, competitor analysis, and search intent.
Comprehensive SEO Audits:
Perform in-depth technical SEO audits-to identify issues with site structure, indexing, and crawling. Perform in-depth content audits to identify gaps in written and visual content that will improve visibility to client’s audiences.
Content Strategy & Optimization:
Develop and implement content optimization strategies, including keyword mapping, and content writing/restructuring for better rankings.
Assist with on-page optimization efforts. including meta tags. headers. alt text video optimization, internal linking and URL structure for e-commerce product pages and blogs-to generate better rankings and user experience.
Technical SEO:
Handle more complex technical SEO tasks such as page speed optimization, schema markup, canonicalization, and mobile-first indexing.
Help implement basic technical SEO fixes like creating XML sitemaps, robots.txt files. and 301 redirects
Work with the client web development team to recommend site changes and improvements that will positively impact site rankings and conversion
Backlink Strategy:
Identify and execute backlink building strategies, including outreach for guest posting and partnerships with high-authority websites.
Manage/update key business portals such as Google Business, Bing Business and other relevant platforms for SEO clients where appropriate for location-based retailers
Analytics & Reporting:
Use advanced reporting tools to create actionable reports, analyzing key SEO metrics and making actionable, data-driven recommendations to drive increased traffic and sales/leads for the client.
Project Management:
Manage SEO campaigns and coordinate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with overall marketing strategies.
Communication:
Provide updates to clients and internal team on SEO performance, offering insights and recommendations. Collaborate with Content creators and developers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
3-5 years SEO experience with a strong background in ecommerce.
Proficiency with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Moz)
Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript as it relates to SEO is a plus
Experience with technical SEO, including site architecture, speed optimization and schema markup.
Strong knowledge of SEO testing methodologies and Google Analytics for analysis
Expertise with Microsoft Office Products especially Excel
Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
Ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable SEO strategies
Strong communication skills for team and client facing interactions
Collaborative mindset with leadership potential
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $27.07 to $30.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
