While not working in the field, the new hire will work out of the Rockwood, PA office. This typically occurs each Monday. The candidate must be within commutable distance/ approximately 2 hours from Rockwood, PA. SCOPE OF WORK Agency engagements virtually and in-person to educate agents on products and build relationships to achieve business plan of the company. Act as a liaison between agents and the company and follow up on any requests from agents, underwriters and other department representatives. Update company personnel on changes in the marketplace. Assist in the development and execution of the Company's marketing strategy. Supervise, train, mentor and coach company staff. Decide which agency contracts to approve or cancel. Manage the license requests from agents. Support planning and achievement of production goals of the company. Develop and monitor individual agency goals in collaboration with management. Manage budget for the department. Produce, promote, and coordinate electronic marketing efforts. Represent the company at industry and agency events.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE Perform work in a logical, orderly & skillful manner. Maintain a high level of quality work product. Manage assignments to assure results are accurate and completed on schedule. Be adaptable to changes in equipment, assignments, procedures and methods. Develop and maintain a good working relationship with agents. Safeguard confidential information. Performance evaluations of all personnel assigned to the department. Maintain public relations with insurance organizations. Responsible for meeting production goals set by management. Maintain contact with agents about company markets, pricing and company rating. Maintain public relations with insurance departments and agency organizations.
GENERAL INFORMATION This position is minimally supervised. This position has supervisory responsibility. The following positions reports to this position: Marketing Specialist. This position has access to confidential information. This position has access to or handles company funds.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS Undergraduate Degree. Effective interpersonal skills. Effective oral and written communications skills. In depth knowledge of the independent agency distribution system within the company's operating territory. Computer Skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to safely operator a motor vehicle. Ability to operate independently and in groups.
WORKING CONDITIONS 20% of the time this position is a general office environment. 80% of the time travel is required (flying/driving) to visit agencies and attend industry functions. Considerable travel during the year. Overnight stays required. Fleet vehicle provided.
