Job Title:Director of SEO

Salary:$150,000-$170,000
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as the SEO subject matter expert across the organization, driving performance and growth of the SEO channel.
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, Merchandising, and Content teams to develop, prioritize, and implement technical SEO plans, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Strategically plan and prioritize SEO campaigns across multiple domains, partnering with content marketing, development, and PR teams to deliver results.
- Track and measure key SEO performance metrics, including site ranking factors, keywords, internal/external links, and content performance.
- Leverage data visualization tools (e.g., Domo) to create dashboards, standardize reporting, and enable real-time insights for data-driven decision-making.
- Align paid and organic strategies by partnering with the Paid Media/SEM team to maximize overall search performance.
- Oversee and manage link development strategies, including external agency relationships, to improve search rankings, drive customer acquisition, and increase revenue.
- Write and scope development requirements for new website features; participate in sprint planning meetings.
- Analyze and report on new feature performance to ensure continuous improvement and optimization.
- Research and monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with business and paid media teams to uncover growth areas in branded and non-branded search.
- Report and analyze key C-level KPIs (e.g., share of search, lead growth) and set monthly/quarterly goals and projections.
- Utilize a test-and-learn approach to consistently improve SEO performance.
- Audit and monitor website performance to ensure a seamless user experience across all devices.
Qualifications:
- 8-10+ years of SEO experience, preferably in eCommerce, with proven success in driving enterprise-level SEO initiatives.
- Expert-level understanding of technical SEO, including search engine ranking criteria and local ranking factors.
- Strong knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and enterprise reporting platforms (e.g., Domo).
- Proven ability to structure, analyze, and report on data to deliver actionable insights.
- Solid understanding of eCommerce processes, such as product setup and inventory management.
- Hands-on experience with SEO tools like Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, BrightEdge, and Botify.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies (experience with website architecture is a plus).
- Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze data trends to drive strategic decision-making.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to successfully meet and exceed goals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present ideas and data to executive leadership and cross-functional partners.
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and evolving environment with a focus on high-growth strategies.
