SCHEDULE:
Full-time (40 Hours per Week) Monday - Friday
8:00am-5:00pm Phoenix Standard Time
Note: 10% of Nights and Weekends Work is Expected to Attend Industry Events

Here at Handle the Heat™, we're passionate about traditional baking (no Keto recipes) and the science of sweets. We're a small but mighty team, and millions worldwide enjoy our recipes and baking tips.
We LOVE what we do and are looking for someone equally excited and eager about helping our audience improve their baking skills with every recipe posted as we grow and scale.
Handle the Heat has grown over 1,000% since 2020. Our business is driven by website advertisements, sponsors, and sales of digital and physical products. Our goal is to become the top baking brand in the U.S., and we need a strategic Social Media expert to make that happen.
In this role, you will partner with Tessa to develop an effective social media strategy for Handle the Heat. You'll plan and execute fun, informative content that entices our viewers, draws in new fans, and captures Handle the Heat's vibe.

Social Media Manager Key Responsibilities with Success Metrics
#1) Develop social media marketing strategies in alignment with use trend analysis, market research, and data analysis to grow brand awareness, community engagement, generate traffic, and attract brand sponsorships
Success Metric: Measurable quarter-over-quarter average increases in likes, subscribers, and comment rates with a minimum of 10% growth above current quarter
Success Metric: Provide monthly social media performance report to Tessa by the first Wednesday of each month.
Success Metric: Secure 1- 3 brand sponsors each quarter.
#2) Manage Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest content calendars to grow brand awareness and generate traffic.
Success Metric: Create and schedule 15 Facebook posts per week to meet monthly traffic pageview goals
Success Metric: Schedule 20-35 live Pins per week, and approximately 140-170 Pins via Tailwind per week
Success Metric: Create a minimum of 10 new Pinterest graphics per week using Canva, Photoshop, or InDesign
Success Metric: Grow and maintain Instagram engagement to 5%
#3) Collaboratively conceptualize, edit, and post stop-the-scroll short-form social video content, including cover images, graphics, titles, and text to complement the video content.
Success Metric: Prepare 3 short-form videos for social media each week for Tessa's final approval by Thursday 12pm of each week
Success Metric: Edit, finalize and schedule video content within 24 hours of receiving feedback
Success Metric: Label all raw footage and final content effectively for future repurposing and in accordance with existing SOPs
#4) Engage with our social media followers by reviewing and responding to comments
Success Metric: Prioritize answering the first comments left on new posts and answer all important questions related to the content within 24 hours.
Social Media Manager Ideal Candidate Characteristics
- Super organized - you love to cross off to-dos and love your planner or calendar app.
- Creative with an eye for aesthetics - you like to make things pretty and user-friendly!
- Self-motivated people person - you're quick to smile and eager to roll up your sleeves.
- Superb written communication and copywriting skills - you are clear, succinct, and persuasive. You're easily able to write in the brand voice.
- Able to work collaboratively and independently.
- You love to BAKE!
- At least 3 years of experience managing social media marketing and publicity efforts on behalf of a brand, agency, or client with a proven track record of growth and engagement.
- You must be eligible to work in the U.S. and have access to reliable transportation.
