What You’ll Do:
Create detailed 2D and 3D structural drawings and models using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) based on sketches and design information. Apply your knowledge of design standards and drafting practices to complete high-quality assignments. Collaborate closely with Structural Engineers, Designers, BIM/CAD Technicians, and Project Managers to meet project needs. Coordinate and implement BIM technologies at the project level, ensuring models align with internal and client-specific standards. Provide production support for BIM projects, including setup, parametric family development, and project deliverables (training provided). Maintain accuracy and ensure structural requirements are met throughout all phases of project development.
What You’ll Need:
An associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit. At least 5 years of experience in structural drafting/design for building or infrastructure projects. Industrial experience is ideal. Strong understanding of structural design principles, materials (steel, concrete, wood), and construction methods. Attention to detail and a proven ability to produce precise, high-quality drawings. Outstanding communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, fellow Designers, and project teams. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deliverables while meeting deadlines.
