This person also excels at distilling complicated HR topics into easy to digest messages for Chimers and candidates, and is passionate about the people and talent space.

You will report directly to the Head of Internal Communications on the Chime Corporate Affairs Team, and you will work closely with the Chief People Officer and the People (HR) Leadership Team as your primary partners.

The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to
  • Lead change management communications for the company, preempting the internal communications needs that occur around organizational changes (big and small) and confidently advising leaders throughout the process.
  • Serve as the internal communications lead and strategic counselor for the People team and its leadership, integrating People (HR) comms seamlessly into wider internal communications channels and content.
  • Create and deliver an integrated People (HR) internal communications plan in collaboration with the People (HR) leadership team, spanning subject matter areas including recruiting, progression and performance, employee engagement and experience, analytics and People technology, people business partners, compensation and benefits, and real estate and workplace.
  • Drive alignment on HR issues – and deviation where necessary – across Chime’s functions and teams.
  • Be well-versed in and constantly educate yourself on news trends in the people / HR space.
To thrive in this role, you have
  • 7-10+ years of related professional experience, preferably in technology organizations working on HR, internal communications, and/or change management (ideally previous experience with People Operations/Human Resources work and/or communications)
  • Experience in a high-growth tech or start-up environment is a plus
  • Excellent judgment and discretion; Demonstrated ability to safeguard confidential information
  • Experience advising executives and business leaders
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional change efforts across an organization
  • Excellent project/program management skills. You thrive translating what needs to happen into concrete plans, ensuring there is a strategic view while also paying close attention to the details.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • No objection to rolling up your sleeves. You’ll be part of a small but mighty Communications team and no task can be too big or too small
  • An ability to pivot. This is a new role for Chime!
  • A passion for our mission.
