SteelSeries is looking for a Product Manager to join our hardware Product Management group, to work on our audio category. As a product management professional, you will draw upon your understanding of gamers' needs, analyze the competitive landscape, conduct market research, and follow the latest trends in technology to ensure that our product lines are awesome, authentic, innovative and solve real needs for gamers. This position reports to the Head of Category Management.
ABOUT YOU:
- An Experienced Product Leader: You've spent years as a product manager and have a proven track record of driving innovative and successful products to market. You may have an engineering, business or science degree or industry experience that is uniquely relevant.
- Analytical and Thoughtful: You strive to get as many data points as possible, consider multiple solutions to the same problem and understand the nuances of what makes a great product vs. filling a spec sheet.
- Passionate Curiosity: This is gaming, content creation, and building complex consumer electronics. It's hard, and if you don't find it fun, you won't succeed. You will have a thirst for understanding gamers and learning what drives their purchase intent when selecting their next amazing piece of gaming gear.
- Think Like An Entrepreneur: You constantly advocate for your product visions, achieving alignment across different parts of the organization to allow efficient execution on bringing those visions to life. You are the driver of the hype train, spreading your excitement for innovative products to the rest of the SteelSeries family.
- Articulate and Persuasive: You are the subject matter expert and the informed voice of the consumer. You must be able to communicate effectively to external and internal stakeholders all the way up to C-suite on why these products fulfill a need with our gamers, and should be invested in to build and support the long-term vision for SteelSeries.
- 5+ years of experience in the field of product management, preferably in consumer electronics and/or gaming.
- A deep knowledge of and personal experience with audio devices, technology and the latest trends across gaming and otherwise
- A degree in an Engineering Discipline, Industrial Design, Product Design, Marketing or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience bringing products to market and being involved in the go to market strategies
- Highly motivated and goal-orientated individual that is able to work in ambiguity
- Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.

WITHIN 1 MONTH YOU WILL:
Delve into understanding the target consumers, conduct research, and identify pain points that can be addressed. You will learn the process of developing products at SteelSeries and have a thorough understanding of how to engage in cross-functional communications.
WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOU WILL:
Propose ideas and solutions to identify customer issues and start preparing concepts to review as part of a roadmap. You will be engaging directly with the category lead and product development heads to flesh out your ideas into detailed product concepts.
WITHIN 9 MONTHS YOU WILL:
Be actively engaged in developing these products and planning to bring them to market.
