POSITION PURPOSE

Creates branded design solutions and works collaboratively with the health system and Marketing and Communications leadership. Works with leaders to ensure system wide brand standards are in place throughout the design process. Manages multiple projects and works with clients as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.

Independently creates brand and sub branded designs and follows the health system brand guidelines for marketing and communications tactics.

Creates designs for internal and external communications including patient communications. Provides design support, production and creative direction for special events, philanthropy, and major activities of the regional ministries.

Coordinates production with outside creative vendors (printers, translators, photographers, mail houses, etc.) as needed.

Effectively manages multiple creative requests and prioritizes work through production to meet deadlines.

Develops, traffics, and enforces project timelines.

Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships on the COE team and at the ministries. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participates in resolutions.

Promotes diversity in all marketing materials.

Maintains design files, photography, and digital assets in MarComm archives.

Demonstrates a thorough knowledge and understanding of the marketing objectives and strategies for the health system and is able to communicate to internal and external audiences.

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design or related field with 4 years of graphic and digital design experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design or related field is preferred.

Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud.

Proficient in Adobe Design Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator CS5) and in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Animation skills and experience in AfterEffects are a plus.

Must have a professional portfolio of design work.

Must be self-motivated, self-directed, proactive and solution-oriented in approach to work and servicing the needs of internal and external clients and audiences.

Able to offer creative ideas and solutions while maintaining a feel for a professional aesthetic and understanding for the needs of the customer. Impeccable eye for detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple high-level projects simultaneously and independently under strict deadlines.

Excellent planning, organization, and prioritization skills.

Team member who can accept new challenges as they arise.

Pay Range:

Graphic Designer ($31.63 - $47.45)

Senior Graphic Designer ($36.02 - $54.02)
