Liquid Church is seeking a talented and passionate User Experience Designer to lead and manage a cohesive digital experience across our web and mobile platforms. This role is pivotal in ensuring our online presence aligns with our mission and serves our community with excellence. The ideal candidate will have expertise in UX/UI design, a knack for translating user needs into intuitive designs, and the technical skills to execute their vision. Working closely with our Web Developer, you will collaborate to implement your designs seamlessly, ensuring a consistent and engaging user experience across all platforms. A full-time position, the schedule is generally Monday-Friday for a total of 40 hours per week, reporting to the Digital Products Director.
Responsibilities
User Experience Research Lead UX research efforts, including usability testing, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis, to inform design decisions. Advocate for the user by integrating research insights into every aspect of the design process. Design Leadership
Utilize Figma to create wireframes, prototypes, and design systems that communicate ideas effectively. Create visual assets using Adobe Creative Suite for use across web and mobile projects. Be a thought leader to team members on UX/UI best practices and design trends. Monitor and optimize the performance, usability, and accessibility of all digital platforms. Ensure all updates and new features adhere to Liquid Church's brand guidelines and user needs. Website Design
Be the in-house Webflow expert, designing and building new pages for LiquidChurch.com to ensure a modern, responsive, and engaging user experience. Update and maintain existing pages on LiquidChurch.com, implementing new designs and improving functionality. Collaborate with stakeholders to create user-centered solutions that align with Liquid Church's mission and goals. Mobile Design & App Updates
Design mobile views and interfaces for the internal mobile app, ensuring seamless navigation and functionality. Regularly update the app content and coordinate the rollout and implementation of new features. Help foster and maintain relationships with our app developer and other churches within the Apollos community. Collaboration with Web Developer
Partner closely with the Web Developer to ensure designs are implemented efficiently and align with technical capabilities. Provide clear design assets, specifications, and documentation to facilitate seamless handoffs. Qualifications
Education - Bachelor's in Software Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, or commensurate experience. Tech Tools - Adept at developing designs using tools such as Adobe Creative Studio and Figma Project Management - Ability to see through major projects and meet weekly deadlines. Organization - Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities at once. Communication - Strong verbal and written communication skills. Relational Ability - Has integrity and personal character and works well with Staff and volunteers of varying personality types. Being able to positively interact with multiple types of people in a variety of settings will be a key ingredient of success. Excellence - Maintain a high level of excellence and quality in personal interactions with Staff and Volunteers.
