About the Company
Leading Audio Speaker Manufacturer seeks a Full-Time Product Design Assistant, who will work for and be mentored by one of the best audio electronics geniuses in the U.S. This unique position offers the chance to learn about cutting-edge audio reproduction technology, contribute to a ground-breaking brand, and manage R&D projects. As a "right-hand" to our Chief Product Designer, you'll be integral to our innovative product development process.
Responsibilities Set up and operate acoustical measurement equipment and loudspeaker systems Program Digital Signal Processors Conduct power, SPL, and comparison testing Assemble R&D loudspeakers (installing transducers, making wiring harnesses, assembling electronics) Construct and inspect prototype cabinets Simulate and predict loudspeaker performance Perform basic CAD drawing in Rhino 3D (training will be provided) Manage R&D inventory, tools, and storage of components and hardware Handle project management, scheduling, and communication support Source components and manage shipping/receiving Travel locally, nationally, and internationally as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills Proficiency with hand and power tools Solid understanding of mechanics and physics principles Basic knowledge of loudspeaker components Ability to handle physical tasks and heavy objects Valid passport and willingness to travel
Preferred Skills Experience in construction, automotive mechanics, or car audio industries Professional sound system installation experience Engineering, architectural, or mechanical background Interest in professional audio and loudspeaker design Familiarity with CAD/3D design software and/or CNC machinery Experience with woodworking and electrical wiring
Pay range and compensation package Competitive salary (negotiable based on experience)
