Summary/Objective:
The SEM/PPC Specialist plans, builds, executes, measures, and optimizes marketing campaigns within the Search Engine space. This entails a deep understanding of search engine processes, familiarity with the appropriate Data Management Platforms (DMPs) and their abilities, and the creation of SEM campaigns, subsequent key phrase lists, ads, and audiences. The SEM/PPC Specialist engages in frequent communications, both written and verbal, across internal teams, clients, and stakeholders
Essential Functions: Measure and maintain websites within respective search engines. Plan, execute, optimize, and report on paid search campaigns across assigned clients/accounts. Manage SEM campaign budgets across assigned clients/accounts. Proactively stay up to date on benchmarks and industry standards across SEM/SEO. Perform web page audits to implement targeting, testing, and segmentation strategies.
Key Skills: Proven record of converting traffic from the SERPs into on-page convertors. Ethical Conduct. Communication Proficiency. Organizational Skills.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no direct report management responsibilities.
Travel:
This position may occasionally travel but typically will not exceed 10%.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current Google and Bing certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with bid management tools (e.g., Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite). Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends). Strong analytical skills and experience generating SEM reports. Familiarity with A/B and multivariate experiments. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
