What you will be doing:
As the Staff Accountant in this position, you'll assume responsibility for a wide array of financial duties. These include overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable, providing support for payroll functions, executing requested journal entries, and preparing crucial monthly financial reports. You'll also assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, perform bank reconciliation tasks, rectify customer balances when necessary, and foster positive relationships with stakeholders. Your role will center on maintaining the accuracy of all financial records, implementing best practices and internal audit procedures, managing purchase orders and employee credit card processes, handling departmental correspondence, and supporting the 401(k) system. Additionally, you'll oversee petty cash, manage file archiving, and address various ad-hoc financial and administrative tasks as required, often under tight deadlines.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in Accounting
- Advanced typing and 10-key skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with account reconciliation and journal entries
- Prior experience in accounting, payroll, accounts payable, or accounts receivable preferred
- Professional oral and written communication skills

While the work primarily involves sedentary tasks, there may be occasions that call for standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and move objects weighing up to 20 pounds. It is essential for employees to possess proficiency in utilizing standard office tools like computers, printers, and telephones. Furthermore, adequate manual dexterity and eyesight are necessary to effectively handle tasks involving reading, writing, interpreting, and managing paperwork with precision and efficiency.
In a typical office setting, the employee will communicate and engage with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental conditions. Although the role mainly takes place indoors, there might be occasional exposure to outdoor elements such as heat, cold and environmental elements.
