Job Overview
Compass Communities is seeking a dedicated and experienced Community Manager to oversee the operations of our residential community. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of property management, and a commitment to fostering a positive living environment for residents. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively while managing various aspects of community operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the community, ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure quality services at competitive rates.
  • Oversee property leasing processes, including tenant screening, lease negotiations, and move-in coordination.
  • Implement conflict management strategies to address resident concerns and disputes effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with local laws and regulations related to property management, including LIHTC requirements.
  • Coordinate facilities management tasks to ensure all common areas are well-maintained and safe for residents.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationship management practices to enhance resident engagement.
  • Prepare regular reports on community performance metrics and present findings to upper management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in property management or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a background in sales or contract law is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of conflict management techniques and facilities management best practices.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management systems and property leasing processes.
  • Experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
  • A legal administrative background is a plus but not required.
