Associate E-commerce Web Editor & Developer, Job Description
Rhoback is currently seeking a motivated Associate E-Commerce Web Editor & Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our headless e-commerce website, ensuring smooth operation, and collaborating with the e-commerce team to implement changes and improvements. You will report directly to our Senior E-Commerce Solutions Architect, gaining hands-on experience in maintaining and optimizing an innovative, headless architecture.
This position will be located in-person at Rhoback’s Charlottesville, VA headquarters. Individual should be ready and energized to support Rhoback’s growth trajectory in the activewear market.
Responsibilities: Maintain and Optimize the Headless E-commerce Website: Assist in the ongoing development, maintenance, and performance tuning of our headless e-commerce platform. Website Customization: Implement minor customizations and feature enhancements as directed by the Senior Website Engineer and e-commerce team. Work alongside the Creative Marketing Team to put their website vision into action using Figma as a tool to display the desired frontend experience while using our Content Management software. Build landing pages for marketing team to coordinate with digital advertising Build process around new product drops and what must be completed on the website to go live with new product categories Manage and optimize product data, metadata and assets to improve the UI and UX of the product and Collection Page. Collaborate with the Marketing/E-commerce Teams: Work alongside the marketing/e-commerce teams to troubleshoot, implement new features, improve the customer experience on the website, and implement aesthetic changes as new products/color stories/seasons drop. Monitor Website Performance: Track site performance metrics and work on optimizations for faster load times, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience. Code Reviews & Documentation: Participate in code reviews and ensure proper documentation of all development work. Front-End and Back-end Support: Provide technical support to the front-end and back-end teams to ensure smooth operation of the site. Bug Fixes & Testing: Debug, identify, and resolve issues promptly, ensuring the website functions effectively. Regularly test website features for bugs or performance issues.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 1-2 years of experience in e-commerce development, preferably with headless architectures. Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React (or similar front-end frameworks). Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, Pack etc.), CMS and Visual Editor tools. Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git. Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly. Eagerness to learn and stay updated on the latest e-commerce and web development trends. Strong communication and listening skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Must be a team player with a no-task-too-small attitude.
Preferred Skills: Experience working with headless platforms like Pack. Familiarity with SEO best practices for website optimization. Experience using Figma
