Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Social Content & Engagement Strategist to join our 80+ person social practice within our fast-growing Consumer & Content Experience discipline who will create and execute social media marketing campaigns for a global financial technology company.
This role focuses on spotting emerging trends, cultural moments, and opportunities to create agile, resonant content for audiences. As the go-to expert on digital culture, you'll help our fintech client stay ahead of the curve and consistently relevant in a rapidly evolving landscape. Your avid curiosity will drive the discovery of the next wave of consumer behaviors, new community platforms, and first-mover opportunities on existing platforms.

Compensation Range: 84,000- 125,925 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Responsibilities
- Trendspotting: Continuously monitor and analyze emerging social, cultural, and platform trends, identifying opportunities for brands to engage meaningfully.
- Moment Mapping: Develop frameworks for spotting and responding to real-time events, cultural shifts, and viral moments that align with brand values and objectives.
- Content Inspiration: Partner with creative/production teams to translate cultural insights into actionable content ideas that drive engagement and relevance.
- Platform Expertise: Stay updated on changes and innovations across major social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) to identify new ways for brands to connect with their audiences.
- Audience Insights: Leverage consumer data and behavioral insights to pinpoint the intersection of audience interests and emerging trends.
- Agile Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop rapid-response strategies, ensuring timely and impactful content execution.
- Cultural Foresight: Create regular trend reports and briefings for internal teams and clients to inform and inspire brand activations.
- BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Cultural Studies, Advertising, PR, Sociology, Journalism or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of social media and digital experience at an interactive, advertising, public relations/communications, or other marketing agency
- Deep understanding of internet culture, subcultures, and the evolving ways audiences interact with brands online
- Ability to identify trends and translate them into strategic opportunities that align with brand goals
- Strong communication skills to inspire creative teams and stakeholders with clear, actionable insights
- Knowledge of social media platforms, their unique cultures, and how brands can leverage them authentically
- Comfort with data and insights tools to support trend identification and audience relevance.
- A proactive and nimble approach to work, thriving in fast-paced environments where responsiveness is key
- Understand basic research techniques and methodologies and use them to support development/execution of client campaigns
- Must have active accounts across key social media sites including, but not limited to, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, Snapchat
- Has established an understanding of digital in the marketing space (social, paid media, analytics, UGC, influencers, third-party listening) as well as having demonstrated proficiency with online tracking methodologies and measurement best practices
- A keen eye for detail, proactive disposition and process driven
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse, talented agency team and the interpersonal skills needed to foster and build strong relationships with clients, vendors, platform representatives, etc.
