Marketing & Business Development Manager

About the Role

You’ll be the go-to person for designing, developing, and executing marketing initiatives that elevate our brand, grow revenue, and keep our members engaged. From crafting marketing plans and analyzing data to managing our website and social media, you’ll work closely with the Executive Director to ensure our brand makes waves in the industry.

What You’ll Do
Marketing & Business Development
  • Create and execute marketing plans that align with our strategic goals, making sure our brand stays consistent and impactful across all channels.
  • Manage budgets for marketing activities, including sponsorships, advertising, and events.
  • Drive communication through newsletters, press releases, social media, and website updates.
  • Own the analytics game: track marketing performance and ROI using tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRMs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media and reporters, amplifying our reach.
  • Design marketing materials for events, training programs, and affinity services like 401k and job boards.
Membership Growth & Engagement
  • Recruit new members and keep current ones engaged through creative outreach and personalized processes.
  • Collaborate with the Membership Coordinator to hit recruitment and retention goals.
  • Analyze data and metrics to track success and report findings to leadership.
  • Stay on top of trends to deliver value-packed resources and services to our members.
Event Planning & Execution
  • Plan and coordinate epic events like:
    • Educational seminars (virtual and in-person).
    • Business networking mixers.
    • Industry expos.
    • Annual meetings and golf outings.
  • Capture and leverage event data to drive leads, sponsorships, and member engagement.
What We’re Looking For
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong communicator: You’re a pro at presenting ideas and building relationships with executives, media, and elected officials.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms like HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Solid marketing chops with experience in branding, sales strategies, and customer service.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative, customer-first culture.
  • Analytical skills to assess data and implement smart strategies.
  • Tech-savvy with tools like MS Office, WordPress, social media platforms, and design/editing software.
  • Flexibility to travel regionally and work occasional evenings as needed.

Working Conditions
