Position Summary
Partners with clinical department Chair and leadership team to gain a clear understanding of business initiatives and effectively translate them into digital marketing strategies and tactics. Responsible for digital marketing strategies, digital content creation and website optimization.
Job Responsibilities
Develops and implements digital marketing strategies that ladder up to overall marketing plan to achieve Department and institutional objectives.
Builds relationships and leverages External Affairs best practices and competencies to achieve Department objectives.
Collaborates with internal departments and affiliates to expand marketing and communication efforts, in particular institutional social media and technology teams.
Publicizes Department’s content via the department social media accounts; develops content calendar to create a consistent cadence of posts.
Creates or designs social media visuals that adhere to WCM’s Brand Guidelines. Social media visuals will include graphics and videos.
Analyzes social media analytics and synthesizes into actionable insights to inform planning and increase engagement.
Monitors and moderates department’s social media accounts, including community comments and DMs.
Updates the Department’s website with consistent content; provides support for project-specific website content.
Researches and writes website content, including feature stories, news announcements, event publicity, infographics, blogs and newsletters. Adheres to WCM’s style guide, ensuring production of high-quality and error-free copy.
Supports and evaluates results of marketing and communication tactics utilizing best practices from External Affairs.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
Experience
Approximately 3-5 years equivalent experience in digital marketing tactics, particularly social media and website management.
Content creation experience for multiple media platforms, such as Drupal (required), Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google+ and interest in emerging social media.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, client and server-side technologies a plus.
Graphic design experience using Canva and Adobe.
Video editing experience.
Previous experience within the healthcare sector a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of social media landscape and web platforms with demonstrated technical expertise in these areas.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self motivated, adaptable, and possessing a positive attitude.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure; ability to prioritize competing demands and complete action items efficiently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines. Excellent project management skills.
