Scope: immediate need will be to find someone who's an advanced PowerPoint designer to take on several upcoming presentations. Ideally though, we'd have a few people we'd be able to call upon, depending on specific project needs.
As a Visual Designer, you have a love for design and an attention to detail in everything you touch. You're interested in learning more about the craft of design, trying new things, and open to working on any type of project-big or small. We're looking for someone who can work independently, communicate regularly with autonomy over your projects, and support our user-centric design goals. You are comfortable creating and editing design files across many channels - print, digital, presentations, email marketing, and video. You seek finesse in all projects, taking pride in your work ethic and delivery of excellent creative assets. If you are adaptable, service-oriented, and dedicated to being an advocate for our users through great design, then we want to work with you.
What you'll do Develop and deliver consistent and high-quality design solutions for organizational campaigns and initiatives that are aligned to brand standards - this may include print, digital, email, products, and social media.
Work on an array of PowerPoint presentations for a variety of internal stakeholders, including the Access & Outreach programs.
Manage all phases of an assignment from concept through completion, including design development and digital file preparation.
Implement established best practices in marketing, including information design, social media and other emerging strategies.
Coordinate with project management, our Creative Director, and our Senior Visual Designer to ensure timely delivery of design artifacts.
About you
You have... A portfolio of your work included in your application.
4-6 years hands-on experience in design and production.
Understanding of visual design systems, hierarchy, typography, aesthetics, illustration, iconography, photography, data visualization, interaction, and composition.
An appetite for problem solving, while thriving in fast-paced environments.
Sharp design sensibilities and razor-sharp attention to detail
Experience crafting design specifications.
Openness to take on any project, no matter size or medium. The ability to jump from one project to another, based on priorities and workload.
Interest in problem solving and being a team player.
High understanding of industry standard design tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including advanced-level skills using PowerPoint designing templates, master slides, and more.
Experience working with animated media, motion graphics a bonus, but not required.
