Quantum Space is currently seeking a Proposal Technical Writer to join our team! This position will be located in our Rockville, MD headquarters. In this role you will be responsible for the development, planning, and writing of compliant and compelling proposal content. As a key member of the proposal team, you will support Quantum Space Capture Managers and Proposal Managers in the planning and development of proposal win themes, and identification of discriminators, benefits, an key features of solutions on proposals. Your writing will directly contribute to advancing satellite technologies that will impact space missions from Earth's orbit to deep space.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Lead the writing of technical and management volumes for proposals, in conjunction with other members of the proposal team
  • Work closely with our brilliant engineers, project managers, and innovators to capture their ideas and develop compelling proposals that showcase our unique capabilities
  • Develop high-quality proposals that meet solicitation requirements
  • Participate in solution meetings and color team reviews to refine proposal content
  • Assist the engineering team with documenting satellite development procedures when not focused on proposals.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • You love to write and can transform complex technical content into engaging stories.
  • You excel at transforming complex aerospace content into engaging and digestible stories. You possess a talent for explaining cutting-edge satellite technologies in a clear, compelling way for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • You can interview engineers and managers to gather their technical inputs, and then develop a response that maintains the essence of the technical content and conveys it in compelling manner that is accessible to a wide range of audiences
  • You have relevant experience writing about aerospace concepts and space technologies, and are comfortable with space system terminology
  • You have knowledge of one or more of the government aerospace agencies such as NASA, Air Force, Space Force, Space Development Agency, DARPA, NRO
  • You've been involved with writing proposals in response to government request for proposals (RFPs)
  • You enjoy collaborating with engineering and proposal teams to ensure technical accuracy while delivering a compelling story


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Disciplines, Business Administration, or a related technical or business discipline, or equivalent combination of education
  • 5+ years of federal proposal writing for a government contractor or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience as a Volume Lead, Book Boss, or Lead Technical Proposal Writer.
  • Experience writing Technical Volumes in support of IC customers preferred.
