Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Grant Writer will report to the Senior Grant Manager and play a critical role in securing funding to support Raise the Future's mission. This position is responsible for developing compelling grant proposals and detailed reports for foundation, corporate, and government funders. The role requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure accurate, timely submissions. Raise the Future is a $12 million organization dedicated to transforming the lives of youth and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grant Writing & Reporting

  • Develop, write, and edit grant proposals and funding requests tailored to donor requirements.

  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely grant reports that highlight impact, successes, and challenges.

  • Collaborate with program, finance, and development teams to gather information, data, and outcomes for proposals and reports.

  • Project Management

  • Serve as the liaison between internal teams (programs, finance, and development) to coordinate all aspects of grant proposals and reporting.

  • Maintain organized systems to track grant deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with funder guidelines, including submission timelines and content accuracy.

  • Fundraising Support

  • Research and identify new funding opportunities, including foundation, corporate, and government grants.

  • Attend funder meetings, interviews, and receptions as needed.

  • Other Duties

  • Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of grant writing experience.

  • Proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing funding.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with donor management systems.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain strong attention to detail.

Salary Range: $54,000 - 72,000
