Requirements

Camera Operation

  • Capturing high-quality video footage for events, commercials, interviews, promotional content, or other projects.
  • Operating and maintaining two video cameras.
  • Maintain Spotlight standard of video quality and consistency between all events.
Equipment Setup and Technical Operations
  • Setting up lighting, audio equipment, tripods, and other technical gear to ensure optimal video capture.
  • Monitoring sound, lighting, and camera angles during shoots to ensure quality control.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues with video, audio, or lighting equipment as needed.
Equipment Maintenance and Development
  • Regularly maintaining and cleaning video equipment to ensure functionality.
  • Staying updated on new videography trends, techniques, software, and equipment advancements to enhance production quality.
  • Maintaining good cable management and maintenance
Additional Responsibilities

Managing live streaming equipment and feeds when required for events.

Physical and Logistical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must hold a valid US driver's license and be willing/able to drive a rental vehicle in any US city scheduled.
  • Enjoyment of travel, including airports, Ubers, minivans, and road trips.
  • Willingness to share a hotel room during events with a fellow employee of the same sex.
Work Environment and Personal Attributes
  • Ability to work up to 15 hours while maintaining a positive demeanor in a dynamic, exciting environment.
  • Background, drug, and alcohol screening required.


IMPORTANT POSITION EXPECTATIONS

Individuals will work from mid-January through May, with the possibility of extension for our National Finals through mid-July. Individuals must reside in reasonable proximity to a US international airport and have the flexibility to travel 8-12 weekends, departing as early as Thursday morning and returning home as late as Monday evening for all regional events. All incoming event staff will be required to attend an audition prior to being offered an agreement for the 2025 touring season.
